– CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. (CBRE) Chief Financial Officer Gil Borok has been named the 2011 Chief Financial Officer of the Year in the large public company category by the Los Angeles Business Journal (LABJ).

Mr. Borok is a veteran financial executive with a comprehensive background in management, including Big 4 public accounting experience. This background includes leadership in multidivisional, international operations with a solid knowledge of strategic planning, U.S. GAAP and SEC compliance, business development, profitability and cost improvement, investor relations, acquisitions and dispositions.
Before being named CFO in early 2010, Mr. Borok held several senior-level positions within CBRE’s Corporate Finance team, including Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer.
Prior to joining CBRE in 2002, Mr. Borok held several positions with progressive responsibility at Dole Food Company, Inc., including Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Borok began his career with Arthur Andersen where he was a Manager in the Commercial Audit Division in Los Angeles.
Mr. Borok holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters of Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.About CB Richard Ellis
