CBRE Group, Inc. Wins Two “DIGIE” Awards at Realcomm 2012

Firm Honored with Best Use of Automation for Commercial Services and Digital Impact Awards

Los Angeles, June 19, 2012 CBRE Group, Inc. won the Best Use of Automation for Commercial Services and Digital Impact awards at Realcomm 2012, an annual technology conference for the commercial real estate industry.

“Technology plays a crucial role in helping our professionals meet the needs of our clients. As such, our mandate is to be at the forefront of innovation so that we can take full advantage of ‘the next big thing’,” said Don Goldstein, global chief information officer of CBRE and Realcomm Advisory Council co-chair. “Being recognized by Realcomm underscores that we are not only one of the most innovative firms in our industry, but that CBRE continues to operate well ahead of the curve.”

CBRE was awarded the Best Use of Automation award, which recognizes forward-thinking companies most effectively using the latest technology to create new business solutions and experiences for their employees, associates, tenants and business partners. Mr. Goldstein himself was honored with the Digital Impact Award, which is “designed to acknowledge those individuals who saw things ahead of their associates, had the courage to leave the mainstream and the tenacity to keep standing up after many attempts.”

Realcomm created the “Digie” Awards—short for Commercial Real Estate Digital Innovation Awards—in 1999, to recognize those companies, real estate projects, technologies and people that have gone above and beyond to positively impact the industry through the use of technology, automation and innovation.

Mr. Goldstein leads CBRE’s company's technology strategy, information services delivery and customer technology solutions. He joined CBRE when the company acquired Trammell Crow Company, where he previously served as its CIO. In his 28-year IT career, including 13 years in the commercial real estate industry, Mr. Goldstein has held various management and technical positions with large global firms in the financial services sector. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with an MBA from Loyola University Maryland.
