CBRE Group, Inc. Appoints Laura O'Brien Global Director of Human Resources and Workplace Strategy

Los Angeles, CA – July 26, 2012 – CBRE Group, Inc. has appointed Laura O’Brien as Global Director of Human Resources and Workplace Strategy. In this role, Ms. O’Brien will oversee CBRE’s worldwide human resources operations encompassing approximately 34,000 employees. Her areas of responsibility will include employee relations, staffing and recruitment, training and professional development, diversity, compensation and benefits. She also has responsibility for Global Facilities, including CBRE’s Workplace Strategy initiative.

Prior to this appointment, Ms. O’Brien served as Senior Vice President, Global Facilities and Special Projects, working with CBRE senior leadership to implement the company’s strategic priorities in the Americas and around the globe, with responsibility for managing company facilities, including overseeing the planning and execution of lease and sublease transactions and capital spending for the company’s offices in the Americas and assisting with this function on a global level.

Prior to her role in Shared Services, Ms. O’Brien was a sales professional at CBRE, earning the title of Senior Vice President. Her brokerage experiences spanned the entire client life cycle from strategic planning to transaction management to project management and occupancy. She was a member of the Client Development team for Global Corporate Services, where her responsibilities included configuring and integrating CBRE's service lines and resources to meet the needs of new client relationships. She provided account oversight and quality control for account teams involved in on-going multi-year client engagements.

Ms. O’Brien is a member of CBRE’s Americas Operating Management Board and she also co-chaired the operating committee of the CBRE Foundation, the company’s philanthropic entity.

Ms. O’Brien has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from California State University at Northridge, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Southern California, also graduating Summa Cum Laude.
