Los Angeles, CA – July 26, 2012 – CBRE Group, Inc. has appointed Cal Frese Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Americas business. In this role, Mr. Frese has responsibility for leading CBRE’s largest business segment, with more than $3 billion of annual revenue and more than 20,000 employees.
Mr. Frese previously led the Americas region, first as Chief Operating Officer and then as President, for several years, before assuming various leadership positions within CBRE’s global organization beginning in 2009. Most recently, he had operating responsibility for several of the company’s global business lines, including Global Corporate Services, Asset Services and Valuation & Advisory. In his earlier role as Americas leader, Mr. Frese oversaw two of the most significant integrations in the history of commercial real estate services: CBRE’s acquisitions of Insignia/ESG in 2003 and Trammell Crow Company in 2006.

Mr. Frese chairs the company’s Americas Operations Management Board and serves on the Global Operating Committee.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Frese was General Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Whittier Partners, a New England-based-full-service real estate company and joint venture partner of CBRE. Mr. Frese also gained considerable financial management and real estate experience in the 1980s as Senior Vice President of Cabot, Cabot & Forbes, a real estate development company, and as certified public accountant for Arthur Andersen & Company.
Mr. Frese holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trinity College, and a Masters of Science in Accounting from the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.
