CB Richard Ellis Tops 'Who's Who' list in Buildings Publication
CB Richard Ellis has been named No. 1 among the 25 leading firms profiled for "Who's Who in the Buildings Market 2002" in the September 2002 issue of Buildings, a monthly publication produced by Stamats Building Media. The magazine's "2002 'A' List" for commercial and institutional real estate was topped by CB Richard Ellis.
The companies were selected and ranked by the publication's editorial team based on a wide range of statistics, company information and "industrial talk" to reflect winners with a clear vision who "engage their entrepreneurial talent in seeking customer-oriented solutions and, above all, are leaders," the article states. Buildings publishes a new report annually.
The "business of buildings" is evolving dramatically, the magazine reports, so industry professionals must "look beyond excuses or blame to reinvent their operations and adopt new business models that reflect changing market dynamics . . . Buildings' professionals of the year – facilities-related businesses from development, management, corporate, institutional and government entities – employ entrepreneurial savvy to stay focused on the future."
Ray Wirta, CEO of CB Richard Ellis, expressed his appreciation for the rating: "We're understandably very pleased to be recognized as the No. 1 service company. Performance, excellence and client focus are not just add-ons to our delivery platform, but form an integral part of how we serve our clients - and we continue to focus on them every day.
"I credit our success to the talented and dedicated people at CB Richard Ellis. We have the best in the industry, and we're proud of their achievements," he said.
In a section detailing each company in the top 25, Buildings editors highlighted CB Richard Ellis with this description:
"This is a huge organization that has tweaked its shared processes to 'integrated' perfection, thereby ensuring that every client considers itself (and is considered) No. 1 and top-of-mind. Dedicating significant funds and implementing a well-rounded strategy to build and maintain a significant technology platform, CB Richard Ellis had been able to leverage the power of the Internet and telecommunications to access and pass along critical information among its professionals and to its customers who are demanding quantifiable data that directly impacts the bottom line within their corporations."
