Douglas Emmett & Company retained CB Richard Ellis as a consultant and exclusive leasing agent to assist in redeveloping the Sherman Oaks Galleria, once the most famous mall in America.  Located in the Sherman Oaks section of the San Fernando Valley, the Galleria is home of the "Valley Girl" popularised in Hollywood movies and television.

CB Richard Ellis' consulted with the owner and architect for over 12 months to develop a completely new strategic plan.  The new Galleria will have a mix of national specialty chains in approximately 300,000 square feet of retail space together with an office campus unit of approximately 600,000 square feet of space.  As a result of CB Richard Ellis' strategic plan, The Cheesecake Factory, Pacific Theaters (4,000 seats and 16 screens) and Warner Brothers Animation have all signed early leases.
