Good ideas come from people.
Great ideas come from a group of people working together.
Brilliant ideas come from a diverse group of people working together toward a common goal.

This is the primary idea behind the Women's Network at CB Richard Ellis.  Started as a grassroots movement in 2000, the Women's Network was founded by a diverse group of employees who toward the common goal of making CB Richard Ellis the best place to work, not just for women, but for everyone.

In 2001 CB Richard Ellis leadership embraced the Women's Network as an official entity within the company and in doing so, reiterated CB Richard Ellis' commitment to industry leadership and innovation.  According to CB Richard Ellis CEO and President Brett White, "There exists an undisputed and vast pool of talented women in the business world today.  The company that offers women an environment that values, nurtures and develops that talent set ultimately will win the talent war for this key group."

Today, the group is more than 350 members strong, with a 13 member Advisory Board and representation from all three of CB Richard Ellis' global regions.  Comprised primarily of women, the group's membership brings a diverse range of experience and tenure with the company, and represents every CB Richard Ellis' service line.  The latest achievements of this industry leading group of women are available in Recent News.

Together the Women's Network has established six key programs, each specifically tied to accomplishing the group's mission, which is:
  • To foster an environment where women and men have equal opportunity to succeed
  • To provide guidance for gender-related programs, including recruiting, mentoring, training, networking and career development
  • To offer professional, philanthropic and outreach programs for both Women's Network membership and CB Richard Ellis employees
  • To make CB Richard Ellis a better place for everyone and support recruitment and retention of the industry's best talent

Each of the programs offered by the Women's Network intentionally supports the group's goals of mentoring, philanthropy, professional development and personal enrichment for all employees.  Those programs include the Mentoring Program, Women's Networking Forum, the Ambassador Award, the Endurance of Spirit Award, Employee Relations, and Philanthropy.
