Asher Gunter is the Senior Associate Director of the Phoenix office for the Financial Consulting Group. He and his colleagues primarily serve the Southwest region of the United States, providing state-of-the-art financial consulting to corporations, financial institutions, REIT’s, and other real estate advisory companies. As a division of CB Richard Ellis, the Financial Consulting Group leverages the proven experience and local market knowledge of more than 20,000 real estate professionals worldwide to provide custom analyses, which empower clients to make the most informed real estate decisions.
The Financial Consulting Group specializes in sophisticated financial and analytical consultative services that are used to facilitate an informed decision-making process for the client concerning real estate alternatives. The primary services produced are financial modeling, interpretation of financial impact, identification of accounting and tax issues, and the production of documented support on development, lease and investment transactions. The Financial Consulting Group designs and customizes its work to communicate information in the consistent, professional manner required by financial institutions and corporate Chief Financial Officers.
Mr. Gunter joined the Financial Consulting Group in February, 2005. During his tenure, Mr. Gunter has been a leader in providing detailed financial analyses and solutions to the professionals at CBRE and external clients. He has advised buyers, sellers, and users on critical property level financial issues and identified areas for value creation while utilizing an excellent understanding of the capital markets and industry underwriting standards and techniques to benefit clients. These analyses range from investment property sales and acquisitions to corporate service assignments, such as lease vs. own, occupancy cost, and lease comparison analyses. His expertise extends across all property sectors, including office, retail, industrial and multi-housing. In 2007, Mr. Gunter assisted in the transaction of over 20 million square feet of commercial real estate with an aggregate consideration of nearly $4 billion.
