Mark Bauer has specialized in commercial office sales, leasing and tenant representation in Phoenix, Arizona since 1988. In May of 2001, Mark joined the CB Richard Ellis team as Vice President and has risen to the level of Senior Vice President (January 2008). His experience includes an in-depth knowledge of the data center and telecommunications  industries that assists clients with their mission-critical primary data center and disaster recovery needs. Mark has established himself as a master leader and recognized expert in his field and is a practice leader for the CB Richard Ellis Technology Practice Group (TPG), which focuses on representing technology companies with their real estate planning and the execution of mission-critical data center relocations and expansions. Additionally, Mark has consulted on numerous data center and colocation projects throughout the United States.

Mark was involved in the transformation of the then Arizona Republic Building, a ±400,000-square-foot printing and headquarters facility, into a world-class telecommunications and data center located at 120 East Van Buren Street in Phoenix, which was sold to Digital Realty Trust in July 2007 for $175 million.

In 2008, in one of the largest industrial lease transactions in the country, Mark represented i/o Data Centers in acquiring a ±530,000-square-foot water bottling plant in Phoenix, which i/o then renovated and repositioned to create its new world headquarters and the largest wholesale colocation facility in North America, Phoenix ONE. In addition, Mark continues to represent a significant number of lease assignments at i/o Data Centers’ Scottsdale ONE. At ±125,000 square feet, Scottsdale ONE was the first major wholesale colocation facility to reside in Scottsdale, Arizona.
