Gil Borok is Executive Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer of CB Richard Ellis and Chief Financial Officer of the firm’s Americas business. In this position he has responsibility for global and Americas related financial and accounting matters, including external (U.S. Securities Exchange Commission) reporting, internal (management) reporting, budget and forecasting, audit committee activities, the tax function, the financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, as well as the Project Management Office (PMO). Mr. Borok most recently served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Corporation and prior to that, was Executive Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer of the Company for several years.

 Mr. Borok is a seasoned executive with a successful background in financial management within the manufacturing, distribution and real estate industries, including Big 4 public accounting experience. This background includes leadership in multidivisional, international operations with a solid knowledge of strategic planning, U.S. GAAP and SEC compliance, business development, profitability and cost improvement, acquisitions and dispositions.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, Mr. Borok held several positions with progressive responsibility at Dole Food Company, Inc., including Vice President, Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, Assistant Controller and Manager of Corporate Reporting. In these roles, Mr. Borok oversaw global financial and accounting matters, internal and external reporting, audit committee activities, and the financial aspects of mergers, acquisitions and dispositions.

Mr. Borok began his career with Arthur Andersen where he moved from Staff Auditor to Manager in the Commercial Audit Division in Los Angeles.
