Mr. Tupler joined CBRE Capital Markets, formerly L.J. Melody & Company, in 1996 and currently provides oversight for the operations of the Denver and Salt Lake City offices. He has been actively engaged in the origination, structuring, underwriting, placement, and closing of more than $6 billion of debt and equity real estate investments for banks, life insurance companies, pension funds, governmental agencies, and securitized lenders since 1994.
In addition to his role within the Debt and Equity Finance Group, Mr. Tupler is a member of the company’s Institutional Group, the National Co-Leader for the Loan Sale Advisory Small Balance Group, and a member of the Americas Advisory Board.
Mr. Tupler was awarded the Manager Innovation Award for Capital Markets in 2007, which recognizes the manager that has introduced new or changed business practices, models or technological applications (or combination thereof) that have made a material, positive difference to clients, the firm, and themselves.
With Mr. Tupler’s leadership, the Denver office was recognized as the Top Debt & Equity Finance Office in 2007. Mr. Tupler was the company’s #1 National Producer for Debt & Equity Finance in 2004 and has been awarded the Coldwell Colbert Circle Award each year since 2003, which recognizes the top 3 percent of commissioned CB Richard Ellis salespeople worldwide. In addition, Mr. Tupler currently holds the record for the firm’s largest loan to date, a $700,000,000 loan for a portfolio of 119 office and flex buildings.
