RECENTLY AWARDED USPS CONTRACT |
CBRE named exclusive national real estate services provider for the United States Postal Service CBRE was recently awarded the contract to serve as the United State Postal Service's (USPS) exclusive provider of strategic corporate real estate solutions in the U.S. CBRE will provide transaction management services for USPS's portfolio—which consists of approximately 35,000 facilities, totaling more than 300 million sq. ft.—including leasing and dispositions. Historically, USPS has worked with multiple real estate service providers, including CBRE since 1997, and this new exclusive contract enables USPS to consolidate these activities. The broad reach and depth of resources required to plan and execute a portfolio-wide real estate strategy were among the attributes that led USPS to select CBRE as its exclusive service provider. Brian Murphy of CBRE's Washington, D.C., office led the USPS pursuit team, partnering with Mercedes Churak and Bentley Scott; Ted Carter, Scott Reppert, Molly Murphy and Peter Mikol of the Washington, D.C.-based Public Institutions and Education Solutions (PIES) team; Ty Ritchie and Nichole Done from the Denver, Colorado, office; and Min Huh and Doug Holowink in New York City. John Chichester will serve as the Alliance Director for the account.
