Carol Bell oversees the strategic property management responsibilities for CB Richard Ellis’ (CBRE's) Atlanta region, which includes a portfolio of more than 30 million square feet of office, industrial and retail properties located in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.
Managing a staff of 72 real estate managers and personnel, plus three directors, Ms. Bell ensures that the day-to-day management and operations requirements are being met, in order to meet the investment interests of the buildings’ owners. She also oversees the creation of a strategic business plan for each property designed to increase operating efficiencies and reduce expenses and coordinates the property’s marketing and leasing program between leasing agents and the on-site management staff.
Ms. Bell has more than 20 years of commercial real estate management experience in Atlanta, and has worked for Insignia/ESG, Cushman & Wakefield and Robinson-Humphrey Properties. Ms. Bell’s experience includes on-site management, budgeting and planning, capital improvements and development of assets, as well as a broad range of related expertise.
A graduate of Georgia State University with a major in accounting, Ms. Bell earned the Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). She is also the executive member for CBRE as the holder of the Accredited Management Organization (AMO) designation from IREM as well.
Also active in the Building Owners and Managers’ Association (BOMA), Ms. Bell has served as President of the Atlanta chapter, was a previous chair of the advisory committee and currently serves on the executive committee. During her career, she has been instrumental in winning multiple Building of the Year Awards from BOMA for six of the buildings her staff has managed. Ms. Bell is also an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), where she has served as chair in both national and local committee positions. In 2007, she was named to Atlanta Women’s 25 Power Women and has been recognized in the Atlanta Business Chronicles‘ Who’s Who in Atlanta Real Estate. Ms. Bell also serves on the CBRE Women’s Network Forum Advisory Board and holds her Georgia real estate salesperson’s license.
