Chris Decouflé, Senior Vice President with CBRE’s National Retail Investment Group, has held leadership roles in all phases of retail commercial real estate, including investment sales, retail development and retail operations. In the past seven years, Mr. Decouflé has handled the sale of nearly $2 billion in retail assets, including more than 8.5 million square feet throughout the Southeast. Notable transactions in the southeast include: the DDR/TIAA Southeast Portfolio ($424 million), Maxwell Retail Portfolio ($180 million), Watkins Publix Portfolio ($82.5 million), Parkway Pointe ($52.7 million), Piedmont-Peachtree Crossing ($47.9 million) and City Walk ($47.2 million). His clients include TIAA-CREF, DIM-Vastgood, NV, RREEF, Watkins Development Group, MINERVA USA, Maxwell Properties and Kimco Realty Corporation.
Over the past 17 years, Mr. Decouflé has participated in portfolio– and single–asset retail transactions in virtually every market in the southeastern United States. In addition to his capital markets experience, Mr. Decouflé’s career includes a background in other phases of retail in the Southeast. As Vice President of Development for RAM Development Group, Mr. Decouflé had direct responsibility for site selection, contract negotiation, zoning, closing, engineering and architecture for 18 single–tenant, freestanding developments throughout the Atlanta metropolitan region. His development clients included Eckerd Drug, CVS/pharmacy and Firestone. In addition to his real estate experience, Mr. Decouflé was the founder and CEO of a start–up retailer during its conceptual and initial operational stages.
