Maranda Walker heads up CBRE’s Atlanta Retail Services Group where she is responsible for translating the real estate needs of her retail clients into effective marketing strategies. Ms. Walker rejoined CBRE from Staubach to build the Atlanta/Southeast retail services team through tenant representation and a landlord/leasing practice.
Ms. Walker has managed the rollout program for Washington Mutual Bank in Atlanta with 100 locations. She effectively combines her knowledge of marketing and her experience in public relations to create the marketing strategy needed for retailers to succeed with their acquisitions and/or dispositions. Ms. Walker has managed the U.S. market entry of Floors Today, an affiliate of British flooring firm Floors to Go. She recently worked with Kroger in the grocery chain’s acquisition of several Harris Teeter locations in the Atlanta market. In this role, she was responsible for subleasing seven spaces for Kroger and within six months, every space was in lease negotiations.
Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Walker developed customized results-oriented marketing programs to rapidly increase occupancy for developers across 15 states nationwide.
Representative clients of Ms. Walker include the following: Barnes and Noble Booksellers, BJ's Wholesale Club, Home Depot, Office Depot, Target and Washington Mutual.
Ms. Walker is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Commercial Real Estate for Women (CREW), the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors. She earned her MBA from the University of Georgia and received a BA from Clark Atlanta University.
