Todd Barton is a First Vice President of CBRE's Industrial Specialty Group in Atlanta, focusing on representing industrial property owners, users and investors throughout the Southeast.
Mr. Barton's financial background combined with his extensive marketing experience provides the team with solid analytical capabilities and a breadth of market coverage. In addition to the extensive coverage of metropolitan Atlanta, Mr. Barton is also on CBRE’s National Industrial Team, and is a member of the firm’s Special Properties Group, providing property acquisition and disposition services outside of major metropolitan markets.
Mr. Barton has significant transaction experience in all areas of industrial property brokerage including large-scale acquisition and disposition assignments, build-to-suit representation and investment property sales. Since joining CBRE, Mr. Barton has been involved in the sale or lease of more than 28 million square feet of property and 2,025 acres of land representing more than $581 million in total consideration, including 14 sale or lease transactions on properties of more than 400,000 square feet. In 2006, Mr. Barton was a part of the CBRE team that successfully completed a 1,298,700 square foot lease to Kimberly-Clark, which was the largest speculative warehouse lease ever in metro Atlanta.
Prior to joining CBRE in 1996, Mr. Barton was with ARGUS Financial Software, specializing in the sale of financial analysis software and consulting services to the commercial real estate industry. He was consistently among the top salespeople at ARGUS.
Mr. Barton is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors. He is a life member and Phoenix Award recipient of that organization's prestigious Million Dollar Club, and is a multi-year "Top 10" Industrial Producer in that organization, as well as in the CBRE Atlanta office. Mr. Barton is an Atlanta native and holds a Bachelor's degree from Berry College. He is an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Marietta, and is married with two children.
