Ryan Sakaguchi joined the CB Richard Ellis team in January 2006 as its Vice President in the Private Client Group which services and consults for high net worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships. Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, Mr. Sakaguchi served on the principle side of real estate investments, most recently working for a Japanese development corporation, New City Corporation (NCC). For NCC, Mr. Sakaguchi sourced and evaluated value-added opportunities. Mr. Sakaguchi also lived in Tokyo, Japan for three years assisting in the establishment of CB Richard Ellis Investors Japan KK. Mr. Sakaguchi started in the acquisition side of the business and was later promoted to the Chief Financial Officer of the company where he oversaw the Corporate and client accounting, tax strategizing as well as working with the Director of Asset Management to build the property management and asset management operations.
Prior to real estate, Mr. Sakaguchi focused on finance, investments and financial analysis working within the insurance industry. Mr. Sakaguchi's core background is in accounting where he holds a Certified Public Accountant license in the State of Hawaii.
