The Maytag Store

The Challenge

Maytag Stores was set to launch a National rollout of a new store concept, but didn't have the necessary real estate experience or resources.

Maytag had a two person team handling all aspects of store expansion and didn't have the time to handle real estate issues.

Maytag needed a preferred vendor to assist in site selection, negotiations, and communication between Maytag Stores, district managers, owners/operators, and local brokers.

The Approach

Created an entire process (from scratch) with standard template forms to cover entire real estate process.
Assisted in positioning Maytag Stores as a desirable tenant.
Created a CB Brochure on why Landlords should "want" this store.
Managed the execution of this process, nationwide, which has led to preliminary work with Maytag International.

The End Result
CBRE has helped to create a demand for these stores and brought credibility, market knowledge, and awareness to The Maytag Store concept.

To date, 41 stores have opened with 10-15 stores under construction.

Now that the concept proved to be a success, Maytag is preparing to increase store openings to 40-50 a year.
