George Kohl is a Managing Director with CB Richard Ellis. As a member of CBRE’s local management team, Mr. Kohl oversees the newly integrated Agency Leasing and Asset Service businesses for the Chicago metropolitan area. He provides institutional owners integrated leasing and management services and a single point of contact for the firm’s clients.
Mr. Kohl joined CBRE following its merger with Trammell Crow Company. While there, the 25-year industry veteran was tasked with guiding and growing the firm's presence in the competitive Chicago and Midwest markets. He also, as managing director of the firm’s Midwest trade area, oversaw all office and industrial brokerage, property management and project management operations throughout Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota.
Prior to joining Trammell Crow Company, Mr. Kohl served as regional vice president of leasing at Chicago-based Equity Office Properties Trust. There he was responsible for the firm's sizable Midwest portfolio which consisted of over 18.0 million square feet of Class A property in approximately 40 buildings throughout Chicago, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Columbus, Minneapolis and St. Louis.
Before that, Mr. Kohl was a senior regional director at Insignia/ESG.
