James (JJ) Johnson, Senior Vice President, is an investment sales specialist in mid-market single assets and portfolios throughout the central US.  Prior to joining Hotel Partners, Mr. Johnson gained extensive experience in hotel and motel brokerage with Michigan Motel Brokers and Vacation Properties Network.  His background in hotel brokerage is complemented by hands-on managerial experience in hotel operations and marketing at the local, regional, and national levels.  Mr. Johnson was senior vice president and COO at Calmark Hospitality Systems, overseeing finance, marketing, operations and development for 42 hotels.  He has also held general manager positions at full-service hotels and resorts in Michigan, Illinois, Colorado, California, Kansas and Florida.  Additionally, Mr. Johnson has extensive experience in the sales, marketing, development, and operations of resort hotel condominium projects in upscale destination resorts in Vail, Colorado and Northwest Michigan.
