Children at the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital do not need to wait for a special occasion to celebrate; we bring the party to them with our "Celebration in a Box"!  CB Richard Ellis/Grand Rapids employees work together to choose a theme for each celebration and provide games, movies, treats, crafts and activities for hospitalized children. In addition, CB Richard Ellis/Grand Rapids is a proud supporter of the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Foundation's Businesses for Kids program. 

The Grand Rapids office has recently joined other CBRE offices across the country in providing Birthday Cakes for the Homeless Children. Children residing at Safe Haven Ministries on their birthday will receive a personalized birthday cake chosen especially for them.

Our employees have joined the American Cancer Society in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. On May 8th, in exchange for a monetary donation, our professionals wore their favorite athletic shoes with their business apparel – suits and sneakers! Not only were the sneakers more comfortable, wearing them raised awareness for the cause by prompting others to ask, “Why the sneakers today?” (See Photos)

All money raised was applied toward the fundraising efforts of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer community walk, which will be held on October 17, 2009, at Calder Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids. CBRE will be entering a company team in upcoming walk, and we hope that many of you will choose to do the same!
