Information on the Omaha Metropolitan Area

Omaha is strategically located in the middle - the "heartland" - of the United States.  It is a thriving metropolitan area of 750,000 residents and over one million people residing within a 50 mile radius of the city. We are within 4 hours of either coast by air and 20% of the US population is located within a days drive of Omaha.

Omaha is considered to be a telecommunications and computing hub.  In addition, it's home to Mutual of Omaha, Union Pacific Railroad, ConAgra, Berkshire Hathaway and Peter Kiewit companies. These companies have had a consistent and steady growth history.

Independent researchers rank Omaha well above other cities in the qualities and amenities that contribute to pleasant living. The open, friendly attitude and hard work ethic of Nebraskans, gives Omaha the edge over cities of any size.
