Grant Sims is a Managing Director of CB Richard Ellis. Mr. Sims heads the Brokerage Services business line in the company's Reno, Nevada office. Responsible for leading the Brokerage Department in implementing leasing and marketing strategies for CB’s existing portfolio and the acquiring of new commercial properties.
Mr. Sims professional experience includes Economic Development Manager for Northern Nevada while employed by Sierra Pacific Power Company. In this role, he collaborated with the Strategic Tactical Planning and Business Development groups to design and implement regional development plans. Prior to this position, Mr. Sims ran the First American Title office in Reno as the County Manager. Mr. Sims has had extensive experience in community development, serving as a Reno City Councilman and Washoe County Commissioner. He has also served on numerous boards, including the Regional Planning Governing Board, the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada Board of Trustees, the Builders Association of Northern Nevada Board of Directors, Truckee Meadows Community College Foundation Board, Sparks Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, US Bank Community Board of Directors, and the UNR College of Business Advisory Board. He is a member of the Regional Transportation Commission Hall of Fame.
