CB Richard Ellis Manhattan State of the Market Breakfast More than 500 CBRE clients and professionals came together on the morning of November 10 for the 2009 Manhattan State of the Market Breakfast. Mitch Rudin introduced John Powers, who delivered his annual market predictions, tying the global and New York economies to the Manhattan real estate market. Matt Van Buren followed and welcomed the morning’s special guest, Dr. Mitchell L. Moss—the Henry Hart Rice Professor of Urban Policy and Planning at NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service—who led the State of the Market panel discussion. Panel members included Paul Allegretti, Howard Fiddle, Darcy Stacom and Mary Ann Tighe, all of whom spoke candidly about their view of the market, touching on supply and demand, office build-outs, landlord and tenant outlooks and what lies ahead for the investment properties market and for New York City as a whole.
