Eric Gelber is the Senior Vice President of CB Richard Ellis’ New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Team. With more than 17 years of retail real estate experience, Mr. Gelber has earned a reputation for implementing creative marketing and leasing solutions. These solutions, which include exclusive retail-leasing assignments, have been responsible for leasing and sales transactions valued in excess of $4 billion.
Mr. Gelber and his partner manage one of New York City’s most successful ownership representation practices. This practice includes exclusive retail-leasing assignments for several very prestigious projects such as: The MetLife Building at 200 Park Avenue, The Chrysler Center and The Empire State Building.
Mr. Gelber’s notable transactions include Gucci’s new 46,000 square feet flagship at the Trump Tower; more than 30,000 square feet at The Chrysler Center with such tenants as: Capital Grille and Citi, on behalf of Tishman Speyer Properties and a 13,000 square foot lease to Walgreen’s on behalf of Credit Suisse First Boston at One Madison Avenue. Most recently, Mr. Gelber has completed transactions for Fossil, AT&T, Swarovski, Estée Lauder, Starbucks and Sovereign Bank. Mr. Gelber is a two time recipient of the Real Estate Board of New York's Retail Deal of the Year Award. The deals deserving of REBNY’s recognition include the 2001 sale of the landmark 1356 Broadway on behalf of Himmel & Meringoff Properties and the 2006 lease of 725 Fifth Avenue to Gucci as an agent for Donald Trump.
