Gary W. Ford is a Senior Associate with the CB Richard Ellis New York Tri-State Region Retail Services Group. Specializing in both urban and highway locations, Mr. Ford is a prime component of CBRE’s retail services in northern New Jersey and in the New York and Connecticut suburbs adjacent to New York City, providing ongoing representation and consulting services to a wide range of retail tenants and landlords.

Mr. Ford is an established part of the suburban New York real estate brokerage market. He has led Foot Locker’s expansion beyond enclosed shopping malls in urban and highway locations in his territory, serving as primary local point of contact for this Fortune 500 company for new non-mall locations in these areas for over five years. He represented Papa John’s Pizza exclusively in their corporate rollout of new stores in northern and central New Jersey, planned and executed the initial rollout of quick-service restaurants in northern New Jersey for Wild Noodles, and exclusively represents Ford Motor Company for retail sites in his territory in collaboration with CBRE’s global corporate services division.

Mr. Ford is a pivotal member of CBRE’s team charged with defining and leasing over 200,000 square feet of new commercial space at Maxwell Place in Hoboken, New Jersey. This large-scale urban venture is one of the first such projects by leading national luxury developer Toll Brothers. Comprised of four buildings to be completed over four years, the project includes 870 luxury residential condominiums on New Jersey’s Gold Coast across the Hudson River from Manhattan.

With over eight years of experience as a real estate broker, Mr. Ford served as a retail real estate broker with Garrick-Aug Associates in New York prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, after having begun his career as an office broker in Manhattan.

Mr. Ford is fluent in German and is a specialist in German-American relations. His broader experience includes work as an instructor and researcher in sociology at New York University, as an administrator for field literacy programs at the Smithsonian Institution, and as a writer and instructor in a variety of areas.
