Central Edmond Urban Downtown Board, David Forrest currently serves as chairman of the City of Edmond's downtown planning board.  During the past three years this board has been successful in its goal of revitalization of Edmond's original core downtown district.  The group has adopted a set of design and site plan standards for their district.  Additionally they have been successful in the construction of Edmond's newest landmark located in downtown called "Festival Marketplace".  This outdoor entertainment venue serves as a home to the popular Farmer's Market in addition to many other outdoor activities.  The Central Edmond Urban Development Board is focused on the revitalization of Edmond's original core downtown district with many other capital projects and infrastructure improvements planned in the near future.
