Todd Cwynar is a First Vice President within the Brokerage Services Division of the CBRE Pittsburgh office.  Mr. Cwynar is a specialist in Office Leasing and Tenant Representation in southwestern Pennsylvania.  Todd works with clients to ensure that CB Richard Ellis delivers a consistent qualitative and quantitative approach to achieve their real estate objectives.

Since joining CBRE in 2005, Todd has been the Landlord Representative for over four million square feet of office space for various owners in the Pittsburgh Region.  While working on the U.S. Steel Tower, Todd was an integral part of the team that attracted the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to move their executive and administrative office functions to the building.  The 515,000 square foot lease is one of the largest leases signed in the Central Business District over the past decade.  In 2011, UPMC Health Plan finalized their plans for a 267,000 SF lease at the U. S. Steel Tower. Todd also represents the owners of Liberty Center, Piatt Place and Churchill Corporate Campus, a 900,000 square foot Class A office redevelopment.  The leasing team of Piatt Place recently completed the 180,000 square foot Commonwealth of Pittsburgh lease, which was the largest Central Business District lease in 2009.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Cwynar worked for Jones Lang LaSalle in their Corporate Solutions Group.  Working with large multi-national corporations, Todd was able to develop a deep understanding of how corporations use a detailed real estate transaction process for the selection of office and industrial properties. 

Todd’s first position in the business world was working as an options trader at the Chicago Board of Options Exchange.  This unique environment allowed Todd to understand the importance of strategic planning, corporate governance and how financial information is used to make business decisions.
