Tom Frye came to CB Richard Ellis in 2001 following a career in the commercial banking industry. Through the 1990s, Tom managed real estate banking activity in Tennessee for SunTrust Bank. Prior to that time, for eight years, he performed a similar function for Equitable Bank in Baltimore, Maryland. He has extensive experience with construction and permanent financing of all commercial real estate product types, as well as single family dwellings and residential land development. Achievements Tom has lectured extensively at schools and workshops sponsored by associations such as the Mortgage Bankers, American Bankers and Robert Morris Associates. He is a former chairman of the Housing and Real Estate Finance Committee of the American Bankers Association and a former Chair of a similar national committee of Robert Morris. While in Baltimore, Tom chaired the local Neighborhood Housing Service (NHS) office and served on the State Board of the Mortgage Bankers. In Tennessee, he has devoted much of his time in efforts supporting growth of affordable housing. He currently serves has a board member of Affordable Housing Resources and a member of the Downtown Partnership's Downtown Development Committee. He also serves on the board of directors of NAIOP Tennessee. Tom is a past President of the Tennessee chapter of NAIOP, a former member of the Fund Raising Committee of the Nashville Civic Design Center and a former panel member of Brentwood 2020, a program that created the growth plan for the community for the next 20 years. He appears on panels frequently and speaks extensively on the state of Nashville's commercial real estate market.
