John A. Holland is the Senior Managing Director for CB Richard Ellis Houston offices, responsible for leadership of the Gulf Coast/South Texas trade area. This includes delivering excellent service to our clients in brokerage services, asset services, corporate services, and construction/project management; as well as, business development, community and industry relations, recruiting, and employee relations.
Mr. Holland joined CB Richard Ellis in early 2007 as a result of the company’s acquisition of Trammell Crow Company. In 1986, Mr. Holland began his career with the Trammell Crow Company as an office project leasing agent. In 1991, he was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and provided leadership for the marketing staff responsible for over 10 million square feet of office space in Dallas / Ft. Worth. In 1993, he moved to Houston as Area Partner and developed Trammell Crow Company Houston’s office service business from start-up to over 6 million square feet. He built and managed a team responsible for development, property management, project leasing, tenant representation, and investment sales that delivered outstanding customer service while creating significant value for institutional, private and corporate clients. In 2001 Mr. Holland was promoted Senior Managing Director, responsible for Trammell Crow Company’s Global Service business in South Texas. His staff of over 200 professionals provided valuable real estate solutions for over 50 million square feet of commercial space.
Prior to joining Trammell Crow Company, Mr. Holland was the Senior Land Representative for Shell Oil Company working various roles in Shell Oil Company’s Western Exploration and Production unit. His primary role was negotiating oil and gas leases and operating agreements within the Mid Continent Region, and the purchase of working interest in Shell’s lucrative Denver Unit and Wasson Complex in West Texas.
