The City of Westerville's state of the art recreation center is located one block south of the Altair campus, easily reached by walking, bike path or car. This facility is available to all people that work or reside in Westerville and is nicer than most exclusive athletic clubs.
Less than five miles from Altair, leisure activities are plentiful with boating and fishing on Hoovier Reservoir and golfing at top notch golf clubs. Nearby for nature lovers are the beautiful gardens of Ennis Woods, the lush trails of Sharon Woods, the Medallion Heron Rookery, the Alum Creek reservoir and estuaries, and more.
Medical care is located less than a block from the ALTAIR campus and is provided by the Mount Carmel/Saint Ann's Hospital and the Children's Hospital, who operate their Westar Health Centers and outpatient facilities. Quality housing in reasonable to exclusive price ranges surrounds the ALTAIR campus.
The area is serviced also by an extensive number of high caliber public golf courses, which are available for the booking and use of ALTAIR's convention and hotel patrons.
