Max began his career and made his name as a retail broker. Throughout his career, Max has worked in all phases of the retail world. He has worked with developers on major retail projects where he assisted from start to finish, including the land purchase, securing major anchor tenants or users, municipal zoning and approval process, sale or lease of pad sites and the ultimate sale of the project. He has worked and ‘strategized’ with national and local retailers such as food and department stores and has quarterbacked either Polacheck or CBRE retail teams in bringing major retailers to Southeast Wisconsin and being the ‘outsourced’ real estate department for the retailer.

In addition to retail, Max led a team of CBRE professionals in working with a prominent Southeast Wisconsin healthcare organization from 2001 through 2010. This work included working hand in hand with the hospital leadership team, strategizing with them, land assemblage, negotiating clinic and office leases and the sale of one of their former hospitals which entailed a national search.

Max is highly thought of in municipalities around metropolitan Milwaukee and his opinions are sought on various matters. Over the years, he has been on various Boards, including past President of the Commercial Association of Realtors and has done significant pro bono work in the community.

Max was raised in Shorewood, attended Shorewood High School, and he attended and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Advertising from the School of Journalism. Max is married with three children.
