Andres Albano, Jr. was recruited by CB Richard Ellis Hawaii, Inc. in November 1997 specifically for his vast experience and expertise in the development arena. He has brought over 18 years of experience as a real estate developer and construction manager. Prior to 1979, Andres worked as a nuclear power engineer and as an electrical engineer.
Andres Albano is a Director and shareholder of CB Richard Ellis Hawaii, Inc. and Senior Vice President in the Investment/Consulting Group. Andres Albano's extensive experience in the commercial and residential real estate industry includes serving as the Executive Vice President of Midpac Development Co., Ltd., President of M&M Contracting Co., President of Albano & Associates, Inc. and Principal Broker of General Growth Management of Hawaii, Inc., the operator of Ala Moana Shopping Center. He is a registered professional engineer, and a real estate broker, and has served on the three advisory groups established by the mayor of the city & county of Honolulu to streamline both the subdivision approval, and building permit processes, and to amend the land use ordinance. He is the Managing Member of the Asia Pacific Investment Congress. Andres also serves on the University of Hawaii Board of Regents. He is the Chairman of the Board of Regents Task Group on Public/Private Partnerships as well as the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Finance and Facilities. He is also the vice chairman of the Board of Directors for the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaii.
Mr. Albano has been interviewed frequently on television and in print about real estate development. He has authored articles on residential and commercial real estate for the Pacific Business News and the Hawaii Realtor Journal.
