CBRE Group, Inc. today announced that Mike Gerard has been named Global President, Valuations, a new position for the company.
In this role, Mr. Gerard will oversee the global integration and growth of CBRE’s Valuation Services business line. CBRE is the global leader in Valuations. In 2012, the company’s 1,500 Valuation professionals performed more than 118,000 valuation assignments around the world, and in 2013, CBRE was voted the top global Valuation advisor by the readers of Euromoney magazine.

Mr. Gerard will work closely with CBRE’s Regional Valuation leaders – Tom McDonnell in the Americas, Mike Steur in APAC and Mark Creamer in EMEA – to enhance the company’s service offering for clients.
He has been with CBRE since 2005. Most recently, he served as President of the U.S. Central Division, where he provided executive oversight for 29 offices in nine states. Prior to that, he served as Chief Learning Officer, where he was responsible for CBRE’s learning and development programs, including CBRE University. Earlier, he led CBRE’s Midwest Region, overseeing eight offices in five states and before that, the Detroit area operations. .
Mr. Gerard is a past winner of CBRE’s President’s Award and a two-time winner of the firm’s Chairman’s Award. He has been named a top executive by Detroiter magazine and Crain’s Detroit Business. He holds B.A. and MBA degrees from Michigan State University.
