Catherine House is an investment sales broker in CB Richard Ellis's San Francisco office. She partnered with Gary Barboro in 2005 to focus on investment sales in San Francisco and Marin county. Their team is part of CBRE’s national Private Client Group (PCG). They are the San Francisco representatives, one of 80 teams across the US. Subsequent to Catherine joining, their team has managed the acquisition and disposition of over 425,000 square feet to private investors, developers and owner occupiers. Gary Barboro and Catherine House are considered the one of the best Private Capital investment teams in San Francisco.
Catherine has been involved in commercial real estate since 1995. After moving to the United States from London in 2001, where she was a Senior Surveyor for Insignia Richard Ellis in London (now CB Richard Ellis), she worked as a broker for GVA Whitney Cressman (now GVA Kidder Mathews), involved in the leasing, disposition and acquisition of commercial properties in downtown San Francisco.
Catherine’s professional affiliations and accreditations include being elected to the 2008 board of CREW-SF (Commercial Real Estate Women), an Executive Director of the San Francisco British American Business Council (2005 - 2008), the RICS California Committee representative (2004-2005), a member of ULI (Urban Land Institute), a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, MRICS (since 1995), a CCIM candidate and a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
Catherine earned her real estate degree (BSc. Hons.) in commercial real estate at South Bank University, London. She is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), which corresponds with a reputation for knowledge, hard work and integrity.
