Dipan Patel is Executive Vice President in the Atlanta office of CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) Hotels. He has more than 20 years of experience in the hotel industry working in operations, franchising and real estate investment sales. During his career, he has completed more than 250 transactions and was awarded Broker of the Year in 2001 by Insignia/ESG (now CBRE) for Hospitality Investment Sales. Mr. Patel was also the leading hotel investment sales broker for the firm in 2003, 2004 and 2005. He was in the top three in 2006.
Mr. Patel continues to enjoy strong success in the transaction business and has represented several major national hotel clients. His transaction experience includes both individual asset sales and portfolio sale. Some of his recent portfolio transactions include the 46-property Fairfield Portfolio and a package of five properties for AEW. These transactions represent approximately $200 million in sales.
Mr. Patel is actively involved with the Asian American Hotels Owners Association (AAHOA), was one of the founding members of the Future Hoteliers Group and was the first recipient of the Choice Scholarship award to the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, given by that university. Mr. Patel's success has been recognized by CBRE, as he received Colbert Coldwell Circle award in 2004 and 2005 for being in the top three percent in production among the firm. He received his Masters of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia. Achievements
