Jeff Dauray, Senior Vice President of CBRE's Investment Properties Institutional Group in Manhattan, is a 21-year veteran of investment real estate. Mr. Dauray's career is comprised of senior positions in hospitality sector investment sales brokerage, real estate asset management, and opportunistic RE investment banking. Much of his transactional experience was honed as a principal. Since 1985 Mr. Dauray's individual real estate transaction volume exceeds US $5 Billion. Experienced in every property type, Mr. Dauray's focus for the Institutional Group is on the hospitality sector and on financial owners.
From 1996 to 2000 he was one of 3 principals directing investments for a revolving $300 million opportunity fund sponsored by Bank of America's holding company. During his tenure with the fund, Mr. Dauray's acquisitions were in value-added real estate investments. In addition to sourcing and underwriting opportunities and sponsors, Mr. Dauray also directed due diligence and closing as the majority equity investor.
From 1991 through 1996 Mr. Dauray was one of seven asset managers for NationsBank and subsequently Bank of America, where the team he ultimately headed was responsible for the management and sale of non-performing Real Estate assets exceeding $3 Billion. During this period Mr. Dauray negotiated the sales of over 250 real estate owned transactions and encountered and resolved numerous ownership issues ranging from environmental remediation to title defects.
