As Managing Director, Joe Newman manages the San Diego's Asset Services division, and CBRE's Downtown Brokerage Office. The Asset Services team of 45 professionals manages a commercial property portfolio of 12 million square feet throughout the County, with a value in excess of $4 billion. CBRE's Downtown Office includes 15 brokerage professionals who deliver a full spectrum of commercial real estate services.
Joe is a licensed real estate professional with more than 30 years’ industry experience, including 25 years with CB Richard Ellis. He has provided supervision for management, leasing, project management, and real estate consulting services to numerous clients, including major institutional investors, realty/pension fund advisors and private ownership entities. Previous related experience includes serving as a Facilities Director/Health Services Administrator for Sharp Hospital and Healthcare Systems in San Diego. Achievements Professional activities and awards include various positions in, and recognition from IREM, BOMA and ICSC. The San Diego IREM Chapter was named the 2001 National “Chapter of the Year” under Joe’s Presidency. Prior recognition within CB Richard Ellis includes various leadership and performance awards from Asset and Brokerage services. Specific areas of professional achievement within CB Richard Ellis include staff development, recruiting, performance management, and creating employee recognition programs.
