Laurence H. Midler is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for CB Richard Ellis. Mr. Midler is responsible for all legal affairs of the company, including coordinating the activities of the firm's regional and corporate legal departments. He also serves as the company's Chief Compliance Officer, overseeing the Corporate Compliance Program.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, Mr. Midler served as General Counsel to Micro Warehouse, Inc., a leading reseller of computer products worldwide prior to the acquisition of its North American businesses in 2003 by CDW Corporation. Following the sale, Mr. Midler served as sole director, President and CEO and led the process of selling the company's European operations and winding up the company's affairs. At Micro Warehouse, in addition to the Legal department, Mr. Midler was responsible for the Human Resources and Organizational Performance, and the Facilities and Corporate Services Departments.
Prior to joining Micro Warehouse, Mr. Midler served as Vice President and General Counsel at Serviscope Corporation (which was acquired by GE Medical Systems). Earlier, Mr. Midler was an associate at Latham & Watkins, a global law firm, in their New York City office.
