The state of Querétaro has a widely diversified economic structure, mainly
regarding industrial activity. This sector is especially relevant for its
contribution to the Gross State Product of the entity, and to the positive
impact generated due to the fact that new domestic and foreign investments are
made every year.
The existence of a modern industrial sector constituted by large industries
with leading technology, ample capacity in their facilities, and a high exports
potential, coexists with a great number of micro and small industries.
Querétaro is considered a very important pole of industrial development,
due to the number of national and foreign companies already established, with
high quality levels and clear policies towards exportation. Querétaro has also a
privileged geographic location and is very close to México City. Other reason to
consider Querétaro a good place to invest are its important superhighway net,
its infrastructure, the quality of the work carried out by its workers, its
labor and social peace.
The main industrial sectors have been developing in the state: Auto-parts
Metal products, Electric home appliances, Chemical products, Apparel
manufacturing and Food products.
Querétaro stands out at a national level due to the excellent location of
its industrial parks which also have wide access and external circuits. The
communications system offers urban transportation in the interior of the parks;
and facilities allow the immediate access to the railway, highway, telephone,
and satellite networks, as well as to electrical power. The above represents an
important comparative advantage in relation to other federal entities.
Querétaro's industrial market is divided in four Corridors: El Marqués,
Qro-SLP, 5 de Febrero and Corregidora corridor.
The most important industrial parks are Tepeyac (O´Donnell), Querétaro
(Hines), El Marqués, Finsa and Bernardo Quintana Industrial Park. In all these
parks we can find Build to Suit projects and Speculative Buildings.
