Millennials comprise a significant proportion of the total workforce population in India. To better understand this emerging superclass and their influence on real estate, CBRE Research polled millennials across India about their LIVE, WORK and PLAY ambitions.
The research project identifies major trends shaped by millennials, addressing issues including, are millennials living with their parents or outside, what motivates millennial employees in the workplace and how millennial consumers buy and play.The survey throws up many interesting facts such as:
- While perceived as consumerists, 65% of Indian Millennials aspire to buy/invest in a property in the future
- 85% of Indian millennials place importance on office design/layout while looking at a new job
- While 47% of Indian millennials will increasingly shop online in the next three years, physical retail will remain a priority to socially engage/recreate
