Writing about Robert Alexander, Chairman of the New York Tri-State Region of CB Richard Ellis, the New York Times has noted that there has never been "a phenomenon quite like Bob Alexander."

As a senior member of CBRE’s executive management, Bob is intimately involved in setting the strategic direction for the firm’s New York Tri-State Region, as well as continuing to serve his roster of corporate clients.

A leader in the commercial real estate industry for more than two decades, Mr. Alexander is recognized not only for his consistently top levels of production, but as one of the most effective brokers in New York. He was the top annual producer at Insignia/ESG for four consecutive years (1999 – 2002) and for four years at CBRE (2003-2005 and 2007).  Bob was president of Insignia/ESG prior to its acquisition by CBRE.

Mr. Alexander has arranged more than 50 million sq. ft. of real estate lease and sales transactions for such firms as Lehman Brothers, Deutsche Bank AG, JP Morgan Chase, Fleet Bank, KPMG, The Bank of America, The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, New York Life Insurance Company and The Bank of New York Mellon, to name a few.

Some of his more noteworthy accomplishments include overseeing the sale of Verizon's 1.2 million-sq.-ft. worldwide headquarters at 1095 Avenue of the Americas in conjunction with Verizon's purchase of the 1.5 million-sq.-ft. former AT&T headquarters in New Jersey; representing Deutsche Bank in its purchase of the 1.6 million-sq.-ft. 60 Wall Street; brokering the acquisition of the 1.3 million-sq.-ft. lease of 277 Park Avenue from Credit Suisse First Boston to JP Morgan Chase, negotiating a 1.2 million-sq.ft. lease for a build-to-suit in Jersey City.  For Lehman Brothers, he helped create a Midtown campus, comprised of 600,000 sf at 1301 Avenue of the Americas, 500,000 sf at 1271 Avenue of the Americas and a 410,000 –sq.ft. lease at 399 Park Avenue, in addition to the net lease of 1.0 million sq.ft. at London’s Canary Wharf.
