Ron Halpern has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services and multi-housing industries and is now an integral part of the Capital Markets service line as his primary responsibilities include expanding on capital sources for multifamily dwellings.
Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis, Mr. Halpern was President and Chief Operating Officer of Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage (DBBM). In this capacity, he was responsible for the overall management of the company’s production offices, trading desk and underwriting department. He also worked to develop several strategic initiatives that helped create a national production platform with a multi-billion dollar capability.
Before this position, Mr. Halpern held senior management positions with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Federal Housing Administration, including Director of Housing Development for HUD’s San Francisco Regional Office. Mr. Halpern is a prior member of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Advisory Councils. He is also a past chairman of the Multifamily Housing Committee of the Mortgage Bankers Association.
