Steve Gassaway has been actively involved in the real estate industry since 1983. He oversees CB Richard Ellis’ market leading Charlotte office including, Brokerage, Capital Markets, Corporate Outsourcing and Property Management. Steve received the Presidents Performance Award for outstanding financial performance in 2006. Additionally Mr. Gassaway is involved in select office tenant representation and investment sale transactions. In this capacity he has been involved in several of Charlotte’s most noteworthy transactions over the last several years.
Mr. Gassaway joined CB Richard Ellis in Baltimore in 1983. He established himself as a leading office broker and became a manager in 1994. In 1995 he relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina. From 1997-2002 Steve was part of Trammell Crow Company’s Charlotte leadership team. Prior to rejoining CB Richard Ellis in 2002 he ran TCC’s Carolina’s service business. While at TCC, Steve was actively involved in the procurement, development and marketing of a 400,000 square foot office campus for Microsoft and the 1,000,000 square foot 48 story Hearst Tower for Bank of America.
Steve maintains a high level of charitable and community involvement including Harris YMCA Board of Governors and Executive Committee, Charlotte Leadership Forum, Junior Achievement – Director, Carolinas Youth Commission – Advisory Board, Boy Scouts of America – Troop 162 Troop Committee, Children's Theater of Charlotte – Former Director, Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools (MACS) Education Foundation – Former Director, Leadership Charlotte – Graduate, Class XVIII and Youth Sports Coach - Harris YMCA and St. Ann’s School.
Steve is married to Michelle, has four (4) children and lives in Charlotte.
