In 2000, Barclay joined Grubb-Ellis in the Newport Beach office focusing on both Landlord and Tenant representation. While at Grubb-Ellis Barclay focused on marketing and leasing high quality shopping center developments and has had the opportunity to represent several Tenants in Southern California. During his tenure at CB Richard Ellis Barclay has had the opportunity to continue working with premier developers and tenants in Southern California including Vestar Development, The Irvine Company Retail Properties, Arnel Development, Panattoni Development, Silver Creek Properties, Lewis Retail Centers, Century Theatres, TD Waterhouse, IndyMac Bank, ULTA Cosmetics, Red Robin, Wendy’s International, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, T-Mobile and Hollywood Video to name a few.
Barclay joined CB Richard Ellis in January 2003 to focus on Landlord representation in Orange County and the Inland Empire with a specific responsibility for transaction execution. Currently Barclay is working on several ground up development projects that account for approximately 1.6 million square feet of retail. Prior to working in commercial real estate, Barclay spent a couple years playing professional soccer all over the United States. Achievements Mr. Harty has been involved in significant assignments. He successfully assisted in the leasing Vestar's 800,000 square foot Spectrum Towne Center in Chino, which opened in the Summer of 2002; 180,000 square foot Wal-Mart Center in Huntington Beach; 450,000 square foot Woodbury Town Center in Irvine and 390,000 square foot Sierra Lakes Marketplace in Fontana.
