Jay Luchs, Executive Vice President at CB Richard Ellis, specializes in the sale and leasing of investment properties, with a focus on representing international retail and fashion brands in finding store locations. He also represents other non fashion retail brands, restaurants and office tenants. Luchs also represents various landlords throughout Los Angeles and in other select cities in leasing their retail and office properties.
Luchs' core areas of work in Los Angeles includes the Beverly Hills triangle, specifically Rodeo Drive, Beverly Drive and the adjacent streets, the Robertson Blvd-Melrose Avenue corridor, Malibu Village, Hollywood and West Hollywood retail areas, Santa Monica and Brentwood. He also has a growing presence in New York and Washington DC, and has been the landlord agent for deals in San Francisco, Miami, Aspen and Chicago.

Luchs has represented Equinox gym on three locations in Los Angeles and is currently working with Soul-Cycle spinning, now a division of Equinox, on finding its LA locations.
Luchs has represented salon's Sally Hershberger, Jose Eber, Frederick Fekkai, Bryon & Tracey and Jeffrey Kara.
Luchs has represented the following office tenants: Gersh Talent Agency, Graham King, Alex von Furstenberg, Angelo Gordon, Dean Valentine, Rachel Zoe and Robert Rodriguez.
Luchs also partners with out of state Real Estate agents to assist with their search in Los Angeles. In New York Jay Luchs was on the landlord side of the Gucci lease at Trump Tower at 725 Fifth Avenue which won New York Tri State area's deal of the year and recently represented IT Group/ Just Cavalli in their exit of 665 Fifth Avenue at 53rd Street. He is also part of the New York group handling a half city block development project where the Drake Hotel site is across from the Four Season's Hotel on 57th Street and Park which includes the half block between Madison Avenue and Park Avenue.
Luchs has surpassed over $1 billion in lease and sale transactions from 2007-2011.
Investment Sales: Luchs is part of the team responsible for selling 306-310 N Rodeo Drive in 2002 to Grosvenor USA for $19.2 million, then leased the building to Harry Winston and bebe.
In April 2004, Luchs represented a buyer in one of the fastest transactions involving a Rodeo Drive retail sale to a New York-based individual who bought the Coach/Omega building at 325-327 N. Rodeo Drive for $20 million or $2,666 per square foot, the highest price ever paid per square foot for U.S. retail at the time. Neighbors include Prada, Gucci, Fendi, and Tod's.
In 2006, Luchs was hired as a co-broker to sell the Gucci building at 347 N. Rodeo Drive, a deal that closed north of $40 million or $3,300 per foot in January 2007.
In July 2007, Luchs represented buyer and seller of 228-240 Post Street with anchors including Ann Taylor, Boucheron, and other tenants in a $70 million sale, one of the highest price per square foot transactions in San Francisco's Union Square market. He is now handling the leasing of that site.
Luchs also was involved with the sale of the Sharper Image office/retail building in Beverly Hills in 2006 and represented buyers in the rare "off market" purchases of property on Robertson Blvd and Melrose Place in early 2007, where tenants include Intermix, agnes b., Max Mara, and others.
Luchs is a 1995 graduate of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
