Brett White is Chief Executive Officer of CBRE Group, Inc., the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm, with 2010 revenues of more than $5.1 billion and approximately 31,000 employees (excluding affiliate and partner offices). CBRE is the only firm in its industry to be included in the Fortune 500.
Mr. White is a member of the Business Roundtable, an association of chief executive officers of leading U.S. companies with nearly $6 trillion in annual revenues. He is the only CEO of a commercial real estate services firm to be accepted as a member of this prestigious organization.
Mr. White joined CBRE as a sales trainee in 1984. In 1991 he entered management as sales manager in the San Diego downtown office. From 1991 to 2001 Mr. White held a number of management positions, including Managing Director-Newport Beach, Regional Manager-Los Angeles, President-Brokerage and Chairman-The Americas.
Mr. White was named President of the Company in 2001 and CEO in June 2005. He has been a member of the firm's Board of Directors since 1998 and the Executive Committee since 1999.
Mr. White serves on the Board of Directors of Edison International and Southern California Edison, and is a trustee of the University of San Francisco. He has been involved in a number of civic and charitable organizations, including the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art and Junior Achievement. He was named the Service Company Executive of the Year for 2010 by Commercial Property Executive magazine. He previously won this award in 2005 and 2006.
