Prior to joining CB Richard Ellis and the Private Client Group in Newport Beach (CBRE’s first Private Client Group team nationally), Voorhees worked for an Orange County-based retail developer specializing in site acquisition and brokerage of "coastal commercial" properties in Southern California. Phil's development background and extensive retail experience are particularly helpful to his clients seeking "value added" or repositioning opportunities.
In 2007, Phil Voorhees and Todd Goodman formed the National Retail Investment Group - West team, merging Phil's private capital expertise with Goodman's deep experience with institutional clients and larger assets. Concentrating primarily on the representation of sellers as listing agents, together Voorhees and Goodman have sold more than 340 retail properties totaling approximately $4.7 billion in value. And, despite the downturn, Voorhees, Goodman and their NRIG-West team have closed 44 retail transactions totaling more than $360 million in value.
