Bobby Palta is a Vice President with the CB Richard Ellis Orlando office. He joined the company in February 2005, adding 11 years of market knowledge and experience to the Retail Services team.
In that time, he has executed over $81 million in transaction volume with more than 82 sales and lease transactions throughout the Central Florida market. He specializes in Site Selection & Tenant Representation, Project Leasing & Sales and Pre-Development Land Acquisition & Disposition.
In the Tenant Representation/Site Selection specialty, Mr. Palta acts as an advisor to major retailers including strategic planning, site selection, market research, development consulting, lease negotiation and financial analysis. He is able to employ innovative G.I.S. (Geographic Information Systems) solutions paired with demographic, retail competition and development data to provide market intelligence necessary for executive level decision-making. He employs all of the above strategies on the pre-development land acquisition program with Retail Developers giving those clients a competitive advantage in the market.
In the project Sales & Leasing specialty, Mr. Palta utilizes his extensive background in market research and analysis to aggressively and effectively target users for his client’s projects taking a strategic, rather than merely a transactional approach. Always looking to employ the latest database, research and marketing technologies, he combines old-school tenacity with new-school innovation to deliver results for his clients. Some of his marketing pieces have been cited as “Best of Class” by CBRE globally.
Mr. Palta began his career in commercial real estate in 1998 as an intern with the Milwaukee partner office of CBRE, The Polacheck Company. There he provided transaction support to the brokerage team and created and staffed the G.I.S. department. He also served as Executive Director of Market Analytics and G.I.S. for the State of Florida at Colliers International Orlando office from 2002-2005. There he retooled the entire research department, tracked an inventory of 45 million square feet of retail space and served as executive editor for quarterly market reports for the retail, office and industrial service lines. Prior to that, Mr. Palta founded and managed a successful real estate market analytics consulting firm catering to developers and brokers throughout the Southeast.
Mr. Palta is quoted regularly and writes articles for such publications as Retail Traffic, Southeast Real Estate Business, GlobeSt, Florida Real Estate Journal, Florida Commercial Properties, Orlando Business Journal and the Orlando Sentinel. He has also spoken at industry conferences such as the Crittenden Real Estate Finance Conference.
