Jedd Nero is an Executive Vice President with the New York Tri-state Region Retail Services Group. Prior to CB Richard Ellis, he was Executive Vice President with Newmark New Spectrum Retail, LLC where he formed the company’s Retail Services Division in 1995.

Mr. Nero is highly regarded as one of the top professionals in the retail real estate industry. He has over 20 years of experience completing retail transactions in New York City and throughout the United States for both tenants and property owners. As a tenant’s representative, his experience includes completing multiple national transactions for Hugo Boss USA, including its flagship location at 717 Fifth Avenue, Diesel USA, Sixty USA, Salvatore Ferragamo, Fila USA and Verizon Wireless. He was instrumental in securing flagship stores for Paul and Shark and Missoni along Madison Avenue’s “gold coast”; securing Kenneth Cole’s New York City flagship store on Fifth Avenue at Rockefeller Center, securing 7 prime locations for Lenscrafters; and the disposition of 25 retail properties in Queens, Brooklyn and lower Manhattan for JP Morgan Chase.

Currently, Mr. Nero acts as exclusive representative for H&M in their search for multiple locations throughout the New York metropolitan area and selected markets in the United States. Recent transactions include 20,000 square feet at 111 Fifth Avenue at 17th Street in the Flatiron district, 29,000 square feet at 150 East 86th Street at Lexington Avenue and 25,000 square feet at 505 Fifth Avenue at 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan.

In addition to Tenant representation, Mr. Nero has served as leasing agent for numerous prominent property owners. His experience includes securing a net lease for an entire building on behalf of the Hearst Corporation to Jil Sander for their world flagship store  at 11 East 57th street, representing  Mitsui Fudosan for their retail space  at 1251 Avenue of the Americas, representing Tishman-Speyer properties at 11 West 42nd Street and 630 Lexington Avenue, representing Douglaston Development at 325 Fifth Avenue, a new luxury residential high rise apartment building, representing Gallery Partners for an entire Madison Avenue block front between 77th & 78th Streets, representing Silverstein Properties at 1 River Place, a luxury rental apartment tower on Manhattan’s West Side, 120 Broadway, a 1.8 million square foot office building in the Financial district and 529 Fifth Avenue in midtown Manhattan where he recently negotiated a long term lease to Best Buy for a new 30,000 square foot midtown flagship consumer electronic store.

Before joining Newmark New Spectrum Retail, Mr. Nero was Vice President with New Spectrum Realty for six years. During that time, Mr. Nero brought the first Pier 1 Imports, its flagship store, to Manhattan by completing a 12,000 square foot transaction at 417 Fifth Avenue. That was followed by securing two additional locations, a 12,000 square foot store at Third Avenue and 87th Street and a 12,000 square foot store at Fifth Avenue and 15th Street. Additionally, he served national and international retailers such as the Original Levi’s store, Paris based jeweler Agatha and Nobody Beats The Wiz. Previously he was a retail-leasing specialist with Helmsley-Spear, where he completed leasing assignments for local, national and international retailers.
